Mumbai City FC has extended its partnership with Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited for the 2026-27 Indian Super League season. Matix will retain its role as the club's Associate Partner for a second consecutive year, having first joined during the 2025-26 campaign.

The renewal shows ongoing corporate investment in the growth of Indian football. Bimal Parekh of Mumbai City FC stated that Matix's support came at an important time for the sport in the country. He expressed delight at continuing the association with an organisation that shares the club's commitment to performance and excellence.

Visibility and activation details

Matix branding will maintain a prominent presence across Mumbai City FC's matchday and training ecosystem. This includes featuring on the pendant of the first team's matchday jerseys. The company's branding will also be visible at the club's training base at the NMSA Ground in Navi Mumbai and at their home venue, the Mumbai Football Arena.

Content and strategic initiatives

The partnership includes curated digital and content-led initiatives planned for the season ahead. These initiatives are designed to highlight Mumbai City FC's competitive ethos and show Matix's support for the club and Indian football's growth. Previously, the collaboration included the ‘Matix Values’ content series, which used players and staff to explore themes like discipline, teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

For Matix, the continuation provides a platform to deepen its association with Indian football. The company aims to leverage the club's growing fan base and digital ecosystem to build a longer-term brand narrative centred on performance, ambition, and youth engagement. Nishant Kanodia, Chairman of Matix, said the first year strengthened their belief in football's power to inspire. He confirmed the company shares the club's drive for excellence and looks forward to supporting its continued success.

Club context and upcoming season

Mumbai City FC will embark on the new ISL season under new head coach Manolo Márquez, who has signed a one-year contract. Márquez previously guided Hyderabad FC to the ISL Cup in 2021-22 and led FC Goa to successive Super Cup titles. The club has been active in the transfer market, bolstering its squad with several new signings.

The club has also brought back Maharashtra-born attacker Farukh Choudhary.
