Football Manager 27 news transfer deadline
Football Manager 27 launches in November 2026 with a major overhaul of its news, transfer, and navigation systems, introducing customizable Continue Flow

Football Manager 27 is scheduled for release in November 2026. Sports Interactive's latest simulation introduces redesigned news and navigation systems, interactive Cup Draws, the return of Transfer Deadline Day, smarter transfer AI, and a customizable Continue Flow system.
The game features a redesigned news system with expanded seasonal content. Developers said "seasonal previews, title race updates, transfer speculation, and mid-season reports have been expanded." News content has been refreshed for every part of the season, with more unique items on pre-season, relegation battles, and last-day deciders. In-game media now consistently reports more engaging stories. The 'For You' system separates personalized content from general transfer and world news for improved clarity.
Navigation across Club, Competition, and Nation screens has been improved. The Club screen shows the manager, top goalscorer, transfer activity, history, and dynamic details like Team of the Week. A secondary navigation bar allows digging into squad dynamics or competition formats. Competition screens display key details such as results, fixtures, statistical leaders, and team of the week in an effort to make data more visible. The new Competitions Hub provides a snapshot of league standings. Quick flicks allow easy cycling through squads and rival teams. Player Profiles have been uplifted, with Career History restored as a full-screen experience.
After hitting Continue, users are taken to different key game areas instead of returning to the News feed. Personal Overview and Career History are now displayed in full screen.
Transfer system enhancements
Transfer Deadline Day returns in Football Manager 27, better capturing the sense of occasion for last-minute deals. The transfer system includes enhanced AI behavior, earlier agent offers, better youth player decision-making, and smarter club recruitment strategies. Developers said "the Agents’ offers will now appear throughout the transfer window instead of the final day," and these are now visible on the Recruitment screen throughout the window.
During negotiations, the value of playing time has increased for young players evaluating moves. Sell-on fees in player contracts are now surfaced in Scout Reports, and clubs are more likely to consider such clauses. AI managers and Directors of Football have re-evaluated target shortlists to better account for experience and leadership when constructing squads. The overall AI has been improved to reflect a more real-life football world.
Continue Flow and Cup Draws
Players can now tailor news interruptions via the new Continue Flow system. It offers preset flows-Streamlined, Balanced, Comprehensive, or fully Custom-allowing users to customize how often the game pauses for messages, results, fixtures, or news updates. A setting lets users choose whether the Continue button processes messages or continues with them unread. These settings can be altered in the Preferences menu as a save progresses.
Cup Draws in FM27 are now an interactive presentation. Instead of automatic results, players can experience the draw, with options to draw the next team, draw everyone, or increase the speed of an automatic draw.
Broader gameplay refinements
FM27 introduces Squad Cost Ratio rules and a readjustment of global spending. Heat Maps have returned to provide technical information for decision-making. Adaptive layout work and tile swapping have been introduced alongside the navigation improvements. The gameplay content shown is from a development build in a near-final state ahead of launch. Further work will focus on visual optimisation and incorporating feedback from recent user testing.
The next deep dive will cover improvements to the Match Day experience, including environments, animations, and lighting.
